This is the D38579 Pintle used in the Pedestal mounts.  The male end is different from the short pintle for the M3 Tripod.  Neither will interface with the other.  THIS pintle, will fit in the M31 and the M31C pedestals.  While the D38579 was designed for the 1919 .30 Cal., and believe it or not the BAR (I have never seen a BAR in a Pintle) it works fine for Replica fifty cals.  This excellent repro can also be used for custom made pedestals and vehicle mounts.
